Since Amazon started as an online retailer in 1994, it has expanded into streaming, cloud computing, and more. As part of its mission to be "Earth's most customer-centric company," Amazon has launched a number of initiatives to reduce its environmental impact and promote sustainability.

One of these initiatives is the WEB Ambassador program. WEB Ambassadors are employees who volunteer their time to lead projects on Amazon campuses and create virtual engagement. These projects range from organizing clean-ups to hosting webinars on sustainability. In 2021, WEB Ambassadors led over 1,000 projects and engaged with over 100,000 employees.

The WEB Ambassador program is just one example of Amazon's commitment to sustainability. The company has also set a goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 and has invested heavily in renewable energy and other sustainability initiatives.
